SOMAF - Hitzeman TIPS Fellowship

The AOA Training in Policy Studies (TIPS) program is a policy-based program that provides an understanding of current healthcare policy issues while also facilitating leadership opportunities.

Earlier this year, the SOMA Foundation raised funds to establish the Hitzeman TIPS Fellowship to honor the memory of David Hitzeman, DO, who held a deep passion for rural health and health policy.

Administered in concert with the AOA, the Hitzeman TIPS Fellowship is earmarked for a resident physician who is also a SOMA alumna.

Access to the application, additional eligibility and application requirements, as well as FAQs are located on the AOA Training in Policy Studies (TIPS) program page. (Please select yes on the “are you a SOMA alum” question when applying.)
