A few words from Student Doctor Pascal Voon receiving the Leadership in Specialty Medicine Scholarship:

"Thank you for your generous sponsorship of the Leadership in Specialty Medicine Scholarship. I am very honored to be the recipient of this award. I am grateful for all the support and leadership examples I have received throughout my four years of medical school. They helped to shape my vision of making an impact as a physician in the lives of women through a holistic and compassionate practice of comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care. My overall goal is to improve the access and quality of healthcare for all women, regardless of their socioeconomic status, ethnicity, or country of origin. Receiving this scholarship motivates me to uphold my vision and goal, and I look forward to being able to give my patients the best care they deserve and to give back to the community through leadership and scholarship. Thank you once again for this award."

A few words from Student Doctor Amna Jamshad on receiving the Leadership in Specialty Medicine Scholarship:

"My name is Amna Jamshad and I am honored to be the recipient of this year’s SOMA Leadership in Medicine Scholarship. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your generosity in funding the scholarship and aiding my educations at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine - GA Campus. I am currently a 4th-year student and am interested in pursuing emergency medicine. I am excited to find out where I will be attending residency in a few short weeks! Thanks to your generosity, it has helped reduce my financial burden and I am one step closer to achieving my goals. I hope to do the same one day and also be able to help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me."
