AOF Scholarship Opportunities
The American Osteopathic Foundation offers a variety of grant, scholarship, and award opportunities to osteopathic medical students. Through these opportunities, the AOF is able to recognize some of the exceptional individuals within the osteopathic profession who are making a difference.
ACOFP Scholarship Opportunities
The American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians offers the ACOFP Scholarship and Student Loan Program. To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must be currently enrolled in an accredited osteopathic medical school, a member of ACOFP and active with the school ACOFP Student Chapter. Applicants must intend to enter an AOA approved family medicine residency program and must submit letters of recommendation from an AOBFP certified family medicine osteopathic physician, ACOFP student chapter faculty advisor.
Osteopathic Research Grants
The American Academy of Osteopathy's Louisa Burns Osteopathic Research Committee grant program for students interested in areas of research that investigate the unique aspects of osteopathic medicine.
AMA Foundation Scholarship & Research Opportunities
As the philanthropic arm of the American Medical Association (AMA), the AMA Foundation alleviates medical student debt through scholarships and encourages careers in research through seed grants and forums.
Northwest Osteopathic Medical Foundation
The Northwest Osteopathic Medical Foundation is a non-profit organization serving the people of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington by providing resources for programs to improve the health of the community and to promote a greater understanding of the osteopathic medical profession.
Association for Prevention Teaching and Research
The Paul Ambrose Scholars Program offers mini-grants to public health and clinical health professions students interested in creating a "Healthy People 2020 Leading Health Indicators" community project at their school.
Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation
The Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation will be awarding up to 5 Osteopathic Medical Student Tuition Scholarships in the amount of $10,000 each. Only second year students are eligible to apply. The scholarships are awarded at the beginning of the recipients’ third year and are automatically renewed for their fourth year as long as they remain in good standing. Thus the scholarships turn out to be $20,000 per recipient.
